Hi I am a single mom to a 10 month old son. I started up a business painting childrens decor and home decor at the beginning of 2007. I am making just enough to scrape by right now, but my living situation is on the verge of changing and my rent will be increasing by several hundred dollars a month. I am in need of a loan or a grant that will help me to purchase a few items to help to supplement my current sales, such as a color laser printer so that I can start selling prints which are much more profitable and much less time consuming than all of the hand painted items. I am an intelligent person but I am so confused in searching for grants and scholorship opportunities, one link just seems to lead to another with actual grant applications in sight?! And the government lists are even worse.. Can anyone either point me in the right direction or at least help me understand how to decipher the language of looking for and applying for grants?!?!
